He asked the male bartender for the bill for the drinks and salad and explained that we’re cutting our losses. My husband finally said let’s finish the drinks and leave. We were there for about an hour and a half and I was apprehensive about how the escargot and filet would taste. They got their food in a timely manner and were finished about the same time as the lobster escargot smell arrived. ![]() The couple sitting next to my husband ordered about the same time we did. My husband kept saying no, it’ll be fine. We were almost done with our 1st round of drinks and I suggested to my husband a few times that we finish the drinks and leave. Again, wait and wait and wait for escargot that never came. Perhaps the male bartender put in the wrong kind of escargot. The escargot had only been on the menu a couple of days. The male bartender said the kitchen made a mistake. The young man said we would have to talk to “him”, the male bartender, and the young man would talk to the kitchen. It was a 50-50 shot at who took our order since we were at the bar and there were only 2 bartenders. He asked who took our order and I pointed to the male bartender. The young man kept giving us push-back on what we ordered. I explained we ordered the escargot from the Valentine’s Day special menu. The young man said it’s lobster escargot. He said lobster to me and put the dish down by my husband. A young man came behind us with a dish that smelled horrible. Perhaps he hadn’t ordered the escargot until he heard us wondering where it was. Long after the salad had been cleared, the male bartender said the escargot would be right out. We waited and waited and waited, and periodically wondered where the escargot was. I expected the escargot to come out any second. My husband got his Caesar salad bread and butter. I ended by asking for bernaise sauce on the side. I said we’d start with escargot and my husband ordered a Caesar salad and a large filet for us to share. Soon after, the male bartender took our dinner order. He was there for at least 10 minutes before anyone took his drink order, not sure if it was the male bartender or female bartender. My husband sat down a few minutes after me. I also explained that my husband would order his drink when he arrived. The male bartender took my drink order and I asked for 2 waters. It was basically empty, a couple at each end of the bar. We got there about 5:30 and my husband dropped me off to confirm seats at the bar. The male bartender has waited on us many, many times. There was a male bartender and a female bartender. ![]() We have been going to this restaurant for years. Not for a Valentine’s Day dinner, but because we wanted a great filet.
